Introducing Kachina!


Ms. Kachina Chawla, MPH came officially on board AHF as a Full Time consultant/Country Program Coordinator – AHF – Global/Asia Pacific – INDIA from April 15, 2006 will assist APBC in new business development and develop proposals, resource acquisition/fundraising, strategic planning, create linkages with International and National donors and funding agencies, monitoring and evaluation of programs in India.

Ms Kachina Chawla obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Bennington College and her post graduation in Master of Public Health from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, Department of International Health and Development, New Orleans, LA

Kachina worked as a consultant for as Business Development Manager for Population Services International, Family Health Program, Kolkata, India responsible for establishing PSI’s 2007- 2010 agenda in eastern India had also worked in PSI as Project Manager for over one and half years. She had also worked as Research Fellow in Centre for Research in the Epidemiology of Disasters, Université Caholique de Louvain, Brussels, Belgium and managed ThemNet, EU funded Managed ThemNet, an EU funded network organized to facilitate research among South East Asian academic, governmental and non-governmental institutions involved in the public health response to disasters and conflict.
