With AIDS Hero!!!

The International SPHC AIDS Conference 2006 was a successful landmark event. It was a great conference which was co-hosted by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation and The Shanghai Public Health Center, Shanghai China. There has been tremendous change for the better in HIVAIDS care, treatment and research agreed Dr.David Ho who was the Chair of the Conference. The Co-Chairs, Dr Charles Farthing and the Chair of SPHC did a job well done. The International faculty were most impressed at the efficiency of the host organisation and committments to setting up Academy of Chinese HIV Medicine was also mooted strongly supported by Dr Howard Grossman, President of AAHIVM.

My talk on 'The roles of Advocacy and NGO's" was well accepted and it was a privilege opportunity to share about the advocacy undertaken by AHF since its inception. It was tiring and the dinner at a restaurant which boasted of serving all the spicy dishes which Chairman Mao loves was a lovely treat. The Ganbe followed every sentence and it was only the rain this Shanghai night that cools the warmth of the hospitality from this wonderful guys.
