Song of Hope:The Words

The Song of Hope

Unleashed by the indomitable Spirit of people living with AIDS

Every day, she cried the tears longing to live,
Living in a closet full of guilt, anger and fear;
Tears of loneliness, trembling hopelessly, uncontrolled -
Feeling hopelessness and waiting for the grave.

She lives now, a new life so vibrant,
The ‘meds’ wiped the tears, to set her free;
Transformed her, giving new birth a second chance,
Tomorrow is now hers … as is yours.

Rejection, sadness her only companion,
She lost her beloved, changed her life, so completely;
Clouds of pain, hardship, sufferings vanishes, hope remains,
Facing the future, filled with joy - without fear.

She lives now, a new life so vibrant,
The ‘meds’ wiped the tears, to set her free;
Transformed her giving new birth a second chance,
Tomorrow is now hers … as is yours.

They arose, from the dust – the land of living
The purpose of a life restored with courage and love;
Strong, mind and body, now they’re new faithful companions,
The world takes them now, as its own – once again.

She lives now, a new life so vibrant,
The ‘meds’ wiped the tears, to set her free;
Transformed her giving new birth a second chance,
Tomorrow is now hers … as is yours.
